A nice battle between two stable mates Snap Book and Keith. With Snap Book coming out on top.
After an encouraging run in the TAB Highway in August followed by a 2nd at Wodonga, Snap Book was always going to be the horse to beat at Albury over the mile. Take nothing away from Keith, since stepping this horse out to a mile he has been absolutely thriving and at the 200m mark he made a real race of it.
Snap Book is still only lightly raced, having only 11 starts for the 3 wins, and 4 minor placings. He’s regular rider and owner Maddison Connell said “I have always liked this horse and have been riding him since he was a 2yo. When the opportunity presented to own a share I was absolutely wrapped. I feel that he has a lot more racing left in him and I still don’t think we have gotten to the bottom of him.”
Snap Book will step up to 2000m next start and both Donna and Maddison have ear market this race at Albury and will have full confidence in Snap Book to put another win on the board.
