Donna Scott’s winning week started off with Halo Warrior who lined up in an open 1200m race at Wagga on Monday 5th December. Partnered by jockey Brendan Ward. Halo Warrior stormed down the outside to knock off short priced favourite Flying Sultan prepared by neighbouring trainer Mitch Beer.

Donna Scott then returned to her home track at Albury on Saturday 10th December with a mass of 13 runners. 3 winners, 4 seconds and 1 third. Only 5 of her runners finishing out of the top 3.

Clever Art, a talented filly by Nicconi notched up her second career win from only 3 starts. First up this preparation Scott said “She is a horse that I have always had marked as an ideal candidate for the Country Championships in February. She has a lot to like about her and she is screaming out for 1400m. I believe I will have quite a few strong contenders next year and she is definitely one of the more exciting horses in my stable”.

She then continued to say “Lensman, finally produced what he has always shown. Nice to see him finally put his head in front after a string of placings. There seems to be some ideal races coming up so hopefully he can take confidence from that win moving forward and put a few more wins together”.

Donna then finished off her stella day out taking out the last race with lightly raced gelding by Fighting Sun Snap Book who much like stable mate Clever Art is also lightly raced having only 3 starts for 2 wins. Scott said “Snap Book is a promising up and coming horse. He raced out of his comfort zone but was still good enough to win. He has done a massive job this preparation and I will send him out for a short spell and will look to target Tab Highways when he returns from the paddock”.
