Patience was rewarded at Albury on Monday as Lord Of Valor broke his maiden status with an impressive two-length victory at his home track in just his fourth career start.

The son of Epaulette relished the heavy conditions, producing a dominant performance despite the persistent rain and cold. A committed group of owners braved the wintry weather to cheer him home.

Trainer Donna Scott was delighted to see the gelding reward his connections. “We have been extremely patient with this horse, so it is nice to be able to reward the owners with a winner.”

The victory was particularly pleasing on the home track, with Lord Of Valor proving too strong over the concluding stages to score by two lengths.
